Re: Crafting Updates

Added raw bacon salting so that rashers can be cooked without the entire barreling process - added both kinds of rashers into the cooking craft while removing the bacon fat. Set up meat-sausages (as opposed to the blood sausages) in butchering, with a craft for smoking, and a craft to cook sausage-m...

Re: Crafting Updates

Fixed the chestnut-conkers craft so it actually has output! Petition up if you need the craft re-added, though, it may have fallen off of you.

Re: Crafting Updates

Made a bunch of changes around fats and particularly lard. It's no longer render cooking-tallow, it's render tallow. It's no longer render cooking-lard or jarred-lard, it's render lard. Neither of these are under cooking or baking any longer, they're under general. Lard opens for cooking, baking, bu...

Re: Crafting Updates

Removed boiling water from cooking, brewing and baking so far. If you have a pot, water and a burning fire, you have boiling water echoed without a separate craft.

This will be expanded to healing, smoking, and dyecraft eventually.

Same deal for potatoes. Brewers rejoice!
Nuts already emptied the bag, but the bag disappeared. Updated the craft to give the empty bag back.

Re: Crafting Updates

Adjusted all the pertinent flour and grain sacks in game so nobody will be stuck with one that has 30 uses remaining with the switch to the craft. You're welcome for the extra uses you're getting. In the meantime, the craft no longer portions out 4 cups at a time, instead, it will empty the sack at ...

Altered the general crafts related to supply kits and paydays to be present in the jobs category. One or two fewer categories for all.

Re: The best and worst of crafts

Thank you! This does actually shift some of the revisions to standardize and stabilize some things. Condensing is a large part of what we're looking at managing with revisions.

The best and worst of crafts

As we're doing some major, major overhauls in the near future, I want to know what it is you like best in crafts (even if you're not a crafter predominantly) and what it is you hate most about our crafts. This isn't an effort to find bugs and fix them (we have more than enough of those) but to find ...

Re: Crafting Updates

Expect a big change in Foraging crafts. I audited all the greens and bark that's unused in any crafts (Yes, I know some are used in cooking and in healing and in hunting and in dyecraft. I'm not removing anything of use) and am deleting 20 unnecessary crafts. I've set up replacements for the existin...

Re: Crafting Additions

There have been a bunch of craft adjustments and expect major MAJOR ones in the near future. You'll know when IC events push towards it. For now, though: repaired feed hungry-nanny-goat to make a little more sense and not be so onerous. Added new crafts for the new public farming area: plant wheat-s...

Re: a discernible scent of excrement

The bathhouse craft SHOULD remove the scents, though if it continues to be an issue, please submit a support ticket in relation to it and we'll look at tweaking and fixing in some other way.

Re: More armor variation per tier + mail armor refurbishing

I'm not certain you understand exactly how armor does work in -this- game in terms of what we term coverage. What worn armor objects cover in actuality is boolean. AC is something different and can have bonuses to account for things. That isn't what we'really talking about here, so please get your m...

Re: More armor variation per tier + mail armor refurbishing

When you talk about it partially covers the neck... no. The code does not allow that. It is covers or doesn't. Code is boolean. Bonuses and so on are separate and unrelated to this. We're not talking about "taking anything away" I am talking about the description, coverage, and material. Nothing more.

Re: More armor variation per tier + mail armor refurbishing

Okay, you will never get partials, just for the record, either/or. We'really more likely to revisit the armor we have first, but I'm not against some additions. Can't promise to use all of what's mentioned, but please do provide would likes with coverage (no partials) Material (cloth, leather, metal...

Re: Woodcrafting Craft Timers

Part of (a major part of) this craft audit is not just identifying those items where the skillchecks are off or imbalanced, but more importantly, to look at recategorizing, decreasing categories (and crafts where unnecessary) but to ensure some of these stranger cross-skill crafts are identified and...

Re: Woodcrafting Craft Timers

This is a part of the ongoing craft audit. There are a huge number of failure timers that are excessively long, but you have a very few people going through approximately 2k crafts. Please be patient, but you will see changes gradually.

Those crafts already exist - they're separate from the raw-large-pelt because it's racially restricted for wolf and warg. BUT Easterling wasn't included. Next reboot it will be.

Re: Typo vs Support Ticket

Let's add in support vs. petition on here! Petition in emergency, when you have an immediate issue and see an imm on, or with "crud, that reboot just ate my stuff." We like to get through petitions as fast as we can, but for a lot of the previously stated situations, we're likely to point you toward...
